Weta43 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Pretty old school. You forget just how old it is/was :-( M2 with the afterburners off & 100 passenger - not bad for today, nevermind then ! Compared to this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=793N2hgygkE&feature=related Cheers.
diveplane Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 what killed concorde was the running costs and the noise levels. and lets not forget the french accident, that was the nail in the coffin .. imo it was a great concept for a jet , way ahead of its time ,but again was not available to the masses, only the rich could afford a ticket on her. https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
Airway Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 The Concorde visited the airport near my hometown 1987. To that time it was a real small airport and the Concorde could only land if the runway was dry. The visit was two times cancelled because of rain.
