Hi,

Doen anybody here use the Saitek X52 (regular, not pro) with the Saitek Pro Flight Ruddle Pedals with the SST software?

Which drivers and SST software versions are you using?

I was using without any problem, until today, the X52 hotas with x52_151205_32 drivers version and sst_151205_32 SST version. But today i bought the ruddle peddals, installed them without any problem, installed the sst software that came with the peddals cd, and the profiles of the X52 wont load anymore. Tried making a new profile for the X52 but stil doesn't load. I have the message XXXXXX.dat does not contain a profile for this device. The device has not been profiled.

If i make a profile for the pedlas it loads fine, but any profile for the X52 wont load.

Then i tried installing latest version of drivers (Saitek_X52_Flight_Controller_SD6_32) and SST software (Saitek_SST_Software_32) but after installing the new drivers, the SST software can't be installed because i get the message "You will need to upgrade the .NET Runtime version 2.0 before you can install the SST software. http://www.microsfot.com/................"

I finally reinstalled the old drivers and the SST software the came with the pedals, with that at least i can program the pedals.

I alreadt sent an email to Saitek, but being saturday, i will not get an answer until maybe middle of next week. Hope to get faster help here! :)

I don't want to loose the SST because with that i can double the function of the buttons using the shift switch. Assigning each button from inside the sim i loose that. :helpsmilie:

Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I think you installed the v6 SST software wich uses a new profile type.

Old ones are not compatible.

You have to set them up again for the new SST software - I haven't heard of a converter yet, sadly.

Same happened to me and one Il-2 profile was lost to that time.

The new software uses a new format for the profiles (.pro) so your old .dat profiles will not work. This does mean that you will need to create new profiles for your games, I'm afraid. We're working on a conversion tool that will convert .dat files to .pro files, but it's not ready yet. Some of you will be aware that the old SST software did generate .pro files in addition to the .dat file when you saved a new profile so may think that these will work, but unfortunately this isn't the case.

^^^ What Airway said! ^^^

If you uninstall the SD6 version of the SST software (it may require a good registry cleaner to completely accomplish) and then reinstall the older SST version (that produces the .dat files), will the rudder pedals be seen by SST? (I'm guessing "not").

Perhaps there are older drivers out there for the rudder pedals that could work with the older SST version...

If not, then I'd say that your best bet is to bite the bullet, install the necessary .NET Runtime, and update to the latest release version of SST. All of the Saitek controllers should work with it, but you'll need to make new profiles in the newer .pro file format.

Be aware, there are issues/limitations with the current SD6 release of SST. (ie. the Right Ctrl key is not recognized separately, if I remember correctly) There have been a couple of beta updates to address such things, and you can find info/links to the beta in the announcements section of the Saitek forums. I ended up going back to the release version of SD6, but then, I'm on Vista 64. Your mileage may vary....

There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Thanks Airway and CyBerkut for the help and welcoming!

I finally installed the microsoft.NET Runtime, and with that i could install the latest SST version with the new drivers, and now i can make and LOAD profiles to the X-52. The only problem is that the SST doesn't recognize the RIGHT SHIFT, but fortunately for BLACK SHARK most of the main functions that you need on the HOTAS do not use the RIGHT SHIFT key. And the other problem is that the programing of the pedals with bands for assigning a key, doesn't work. IL-2 and Black Shar recognize the axis, but doesn't work assigning the "B" key (wheel brakes on IL-2) to the pedals when you push them. Still, it's something that doesn't disturb me since the most important is that now i can load profiles to the X-52 :).

Thx again!
