I created a profile for dcs.exe using nhancer, and set SLI mode to AFR (also tried AFR2), however, SLI load balance indicator showed no activity. Is there a way to make SLI work?

I'd like to know the same actually. I just got the game and in the nvidea driver settings tried to setup a profile for SLI but it will only let me run one instead of SLI.

Is it the case that SLI won't work?

Thanks in advance....

Indeed, SLI isn't supported.

However, you wouldn't get anything from SLI anyhow, since unless your card is really really old you'll have spare cycles on the one card.

Hi "Staybull" :music_whistling::lol:

Yeah, unfortunately SLi doesn't make much difference and it introduces artefacts with clouds and when the weather is over cast. One thing I have never tried doing before, that I think you can with a Sli setup, is use "SLI AA". Anyone familiar with that? Some thing to do with one card providing Anti Aliasing and the other one rendering the game? Could provide some performance boost over a single card

Anyway, hope your enjoying BS mate. :joystick::pilotfly:

Sean - Hey mate.... just got it today...... I thought I felt like a complete plonker in LFS then I tried BS!!!! Crikey me! Now I understand why you spent 3 hours learning without taking off!

Can't wait to get the new PC and hoping I don't get issues running Vista 64 bit!

Vista 64 shouldn't be an issue - I run it on a 64 rig and hasn't had the slightest issue that was not an effect of my doing something really stupid. Like the time when I accidently clocked the GPU core to 1200MHz... >.<

If you're using an nVidia card, and remember to not have it installed in "Program Files(x86)", Vista 64 should run it like a charm. :)

Vista 64 and GTX280 SLI here, and have no signifficant benefits. I tried a couple days ago the SLI AA and well, the game run with no difference. Anyway, this game is very CPU dependant.

I have Vista 64 Basic and had installed in Program Files (x86) with no problems (I purchase the english DCS direct download version), is it wrong? Oh, I have UAC off.

It's not really "wrong", it just seems to cause intermittent users for some people. I don't know for certain whether it's the location itself or something else that's causing those issues though.

I do know some other games also have issues there - f.ex Fallout 3, which got installed there due to me getting it via Steam and Steam being in there, requires very careful handling of mods when you have it in there.

But if it ain't broke, don't fix it. :)

Just an update. SLI seems to be working now with the 182.50 drivers, as the load balancing graph finally shows activity - though the bars are only about 30% filled.

Neat.

And yeah, DCS:BS isn't gouing to stress a modern GPU. In a way I'm almost surprised it got as high as a 30% load in SLI. :P
