TXGrunt Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 (edited) The issue I am having are micro stutters and sound clipping while flying on multiplayer servers. Typically at the start its smooth, after a few minutes is when the issues starts to become prevalent. Again, this only occurs in multiplayer. Single player campaigns run smooth as butter. I'm not sure what it could be. Anybody else experience stutters and sound clipping during multiplayer? TXGrunt Posted November 6, 2022 Author Posted November 6, 2022 Alright folks. Just finished a flight in multiplayer and I did get sound clipping during this session. Checking the log shows a bunch of following when I had the issue. "2022-11-06 05:20:53.161 ERROR ED_SOUND (14264): render time = 0.203519s exceeded allowed slice of 0.010000s" This makes me think not enough memory? 24GB not enough? I've included the log. Maybe you guys can make something of it. Thank you dcs.log i7 4770k OC 4.6Ghz // 24GB RAM // GTX 980ti // Asus Hero VI MB // 500GB SSD

TXGrunt Posted November 7, 2022 Author Posted November 7, 2022 (edited) @Enigma89@Бойовий Сокіл I tried it again, but this time I wanted to monitor the usage of each component (cpu, mem, ect.) What I noticed is that my memory filled up almost completely, then started dumping data onto my hard drive! (example: 50gb of free space available before multiplayer. 15 minutes into the session, my hard drive would show only 30gb of free space and my memory is completely maxed out. Is DCS incorrectly managing the memory in multiplayer? Memory leak maybe? Edited November 7, 2022 by TXGrunt i7 4770k OC 4.6Ghz // 24GB RAM // GTX 980ti // Asus Hero VI MB // 500GB SSD
