Eisprinzessin Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Short question: Is the brightness and the contrast from the shkval adjustable? Specs: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900K 3.20 GHz, RAM 128 GB, Win11 Home, RTX3080Ti
Volator Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Not as far as I know, but I totally understand why you ask this question. Compared to the A-10A Mavericks seeker picture the Shkval is rather difficult to find targets with. Add to this that you have to dial in the correct target size before the seeker snaps on the target vs. the insta snap-on with the A-10A and you know why it is harder to fight in the Su-25T than in the A-10A. (Actually this thread would belong into the Su-25T forum at 2.8 core, not here into FC3 forum) 1 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Eisprinzessin Posted November 6, 2022 Author Posted November 6, 2022 Thanks. Anyway...okay its fun, but i stick to the high fidelity modules. Sadly there is no Frogfoot. I would pay a good price for it Specs: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900K 3.20 GHz, RAM 128 GB, Win11 Home, RTX3080Ti
okopanja Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 (edited) Just checked: no brightness no contrast, you can adjust only zoom and cage box size. On top of it: it is free. Few tips: you may wish to do the following things: - disable Global Cockpit Illumination - use zoom (more details will show up). - also when searching for target, the skhval will move with aircraft. If you try to lock you will face difficulties. Intead move the designator to rough location, then cage the skhval (lock), and now it will be stabilized to that very point. From there you should be able to move around now with no issues. In addition 2 shkval there are 2 more pods: - Phatasmogoria (SEAD, used with Kh-25MP(U) and Kh-58 - Low light pod, used with laser designated missiles. Kh-29T will not work with it since the rocket is TV guided. The low light pod you can use even during day to spot e.g. infantry and vehicles that do not show up on skhval.
