Hi.. I've been using the X45, but on a whim I ordered the X52 Pro because I feel the cyclic is a bit sticky and... I don't know... not very smooth.

Anyways, one of the things I kinda liked about the X45 was the rudder controls. With the right curves settings I managed to get it just right. The thing I'm wondering is how the twist-rudder action of the X52 Pro compares. I'll probably end up buying pedals, but I just can't seem to justify it quite yet.

Will I end up looking like Bambi on ice (in air), or will the twist-rudder suffice for now? Are there anyone using the twist instead of pedals?

The twist grip is ok for now. I'm using it with no problems. The way the helicopter handles and with the realistic trim modeling and autopilots you don't make huge control inputs from the rudder unless you are evading, something is wrong with the helicopter or you are stunt flying. I have a feeling that pedals would be more accurate but can't say for sure since all I have are some old CH pedals that won't work under Vista 64 bit. I'll probably get some Saitek pedals soon myself. I do like that you can lock the twist grip if you don't like twist rudder.
