Mission 9 - EGT

Hi, there is something wrong with Huey in mission 9. Heli is too heavy and weather temperature probably too high. After a few attempts I am able to take off against the wind at least, but I can get just slightly above trees and after about one minute the engine fried.

Welcome to a realistic Huey campaign

taking off in a heavy gunship was a challenge in real life too

Hi, thanks for the link. I was able to finish the mission yesterday finally. However I was scared all the time not to hit the ground :-). I can not imagine the stress of real pilots when they risk their lives for just a few more fuel or more bullets in machine guns.

Congrats! Happy to hear.  Once you get the hang of it it’s really rewarding. 
 

i recommend reading ‘Guts n Gunships’ - when he describes his first takeoff in an overloaded gunship, you’ll be able to relate
