Should Weapons SystemCMD Depress unlock ground targets in CCRP?

I read that Weapons SystemCMD Depress should unlock ground targets, e.g. in CCRP runs, but it doesn't seem to work for me.

Should it?

Hi,

I'll have to check but IIRC no, in order to un-designate in CCPL you have to return to pre-selected or memorized mode using weapon system command aft.

You also can designate as much as you want so there isn't really a need to un-designate.

In Chuck's guide - see attached p221 section 16 - and other guides/vids, it says it should work, so I'm a little confused.

Pressing aft just returns to nav mode.

This is an error. I just checked and to reset the designation you have to cycle weapon system command aft then fwd.

Interesting. So is it an error in the other places in that guide as well?  He states this for other air to ground modes too - INS CCRP p229, GBU bombs p245?

Thanks. So, I should inform Chuck that the Air to Ground info is incorrect?  It certainly works for Air to Air OK.

Yes. Depress unlocks in A/A. A/G undesignation must be done with Aft and Forward (to exit and return to A/G)
