450Devil Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 Today when I double clicked on my DCS Opendbeta desktop icon the game booted up without showing the Username / password window. It did show the "Looking for updates" window. Is this now configured to start up without asking for the Username / Password? If so, I think it is a good thing as it removes on step in the process of getting into the game. ps. I started the game from desktop three times to make sure it was the game and not just me imagining things. pps. Even more interesting - I run a second computer on which I host a DCS server on Sunday mornings when a few of my squad mates get online. When I started up the server - as well as the "Looking for updates" window - it did show the Username / password window. Log attached. dcs.log
rob10 Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 You mean that previously you had to interact with the username/password window to continue? Pretty sure a setting got changed in your install somewhere because I haven't had to enter/accept username/password for a loonnnggg time (if ever). I think there is an option somewhere in the settings regarding this.
450Devil Posted November 26, 2022 Author Posted November 26, 2022 Thanks rob10. I have found the setting. It is is the MISC section - Autologin. Not seen it before 2.8 and I certainly don't recall ticking it. Mystery solved.
