markturner1960 Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Do mods to the Viper pit work differently to say those for the Tomcat and Hornet etc? For these jets, the mods go in saved games/DCS/Liveries. I am trying to install this mod: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3316146/ whose instructions say it goes in the DCS root folder/Mods/etc. I have tried this ( using OVGME) and it does not work. Another query relating to it is that it seems to add files to a folder called "default" in Mods/aircraft/F-16C/Liveries/Cockpit_F16C, instead of placing a folder with the cockpits name there. Cockpit mods for the Tomcat & F5 go in saved games/DCS/Liveries/Cockpit_F-5E Whats the correct procedure and do the jets differ? Tholozor Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 You shouldn't have to use OVGME or put liveries in the core DCS installation. Those should go into Saved Games. The F-16 supports selecting cockpit liveries in the Special tab in the Options menu (unlike the F-14). Make sure to select the livery for the cockpit.
