Roadsweeper Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 As topic suggests, I find that the tires on the BS3 have almost no grip. Its like every taxiway and runway is covered in ice. When trying to taxi I can go sideways just as easily as I can go forwards, turning corners on taxiways is a nightmare. Also, the wheel brakes seem to do nothing, but this could also be due to lack of grip. Is this actually intended, is this how a real helo would actually work, given its a 10 ton machine with decently powerful engines? Or is this a bug and the grip coefficient of the tires is set stupidly low?
jubuttib Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Haven't noticed this behavior, brakes have been quite effective on my end. =/
edmuss Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 If the collective is high enough then the wheels will go light and skid. Once up to taxi speed drop the collective enough to just keep forward momentum and you should be able to steer/brake without any problems. Seems to work ok for me, I can make it light and skiddy as you describe but then with finer collective I can also brake hard enough to compress the front stut Ryzen7 7800X3D / RTX3080ti / 64GB DDR5 4800 / Varjo Aero / Leap Motion / Kinect Headtracking TM 28" Warthog Deltasim Hotas / DIY Pendular Rudders / DIY Cyclic Maglock Trimmer / DIY Abris / TM TX 599 evo wheel / TM T3PA pro / DIY 7+1+Sequential Shifter / DIY Handbrake / Cobra Clubman Seat Shoehorned into a 43" x 43" cupboard.
