How do you attack when you have created a TP ( target point ) ?

i have selected my Helfire Lima and in range and in fcr i have aquistion the tp but i cant shoot the missle at it he still needs target data

what am i missing?

i can slave my tads to the TP but i dont want to lase it for the missle

Just having the TP is not enough to fire the Lima.

You will either have to 1) briefly lase it to load the data, 2) scan with the FCR and select your target as Next To Shoot, 3) or have a buddy use their FCR and RFHO the target to you.

@beacon, as Floyd1212 already mentioned, you cannot fire an AGM-114L simply by creating a target point on the TSD. As he stated above, the AGM-114L can only be fired using one of the three methods:

  1. Scan with the FCR to generate target data for the missile.
  2. Lase a location using the TADS to generate target data for the missile.
  3. Receive an RFHO datalink message from an FCR-equipped AH-64D, which contains target data for the missile.

Again, a target point (or any TSD point) cannot be used to fire an AGM-114L missile. It is not like a JDAM.

Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man.
