Hi people, I am trying to do a rescue mission, where previously the KA50 maintain position and a rescue helicopter came to the rescue of the pilot dropped and I found a problem.

 

Any helicopter IA, for example, drops KA27 not less than 30 meters there is any way it gets to a few meters from the floor simulating load pilot.

I found this problem too, when trying to simulate combat insertions. You cannot seem to get the transport choppers to go low to the ground. I hope someone has a solution!

The only thing I can think to do for now is put a farp in. I realize there wont be a helipad in a true rescue or insertion, but it will allow AI helicopters to land. You could also try using a trigger zone that would require the aircraft to land in order for the soldiers to be activated. Dont know if it will work or not.

One possible solution that I had done was to Vetic the alpha channel of textures in one of FARP to be invisible, but still exists the problem of the gap caused by the height of the FARP.

 

Or any idea of an addon ingenious way to remedy this limitation of height.

Simulate the helo lowering a rescue device (forest pen, rescue strop, etc)or in the case of a team infil, lowering a fast rope.

Eagles may soar, but weasels aren't sucked into jet engines.
