Pressing H turns on NVG. How do I get it to the laser sight?

Currently playing the Deployment campaign for Black Shark 3, it is day and i can't get the HMS working. Whenever I press H NVG turns on and i have no idea why.

You have the option to choose between the NVG or the HMD in the mission editor and ground crew comms menu. Make sure you have chosen the correct equipment for your need.
