crazyeddie Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Now that the community has started doing what it does best, improving every aspect of the game, will anyone from ED tell me how I can remove the coalition aspect related to the fortifications in the Static Objects. I have improved many of the airfields to reflect the actual terrain around them, tree lines, new buildings, using what is already available in the game and by updating Birdy's brilliant LFC Mod. The problem is a red 'add on' building or tree line makes Blue aircraft divert from that airfield, which is neither realistic or useful in a game of this type. I cannot work out how to stop that happening. How do I do it, tell me before I go completely mad please !!!!!!

That was designed in order that AC do not landing at enemy airfields. Earlier we collect many complaints about AC landing at airfields with enemy ground units and statics. I can understand (and agree fully) why you would do that for static ground units and vehicles, they create a threat by simply being there but buildings have no function in that respect, they are just buildings or trees, who 'owns' a structure at any given time in a battle is of no importance in itself, the building does not fight back. A piece of ground or a building is dominated by the troops and vehicles on it or around it, not the building itself. As it is we are really limited in what we can do to improve the scenery aspect of the game other than tweeking the existing texture files, a massive step backwards from LFC in my humble view. If it can be reversed the scope for improving the scenery is HUGE, and I for one would love to be able to do that. Can it be reversed ? If not is there a way to overcome it or are we stuck with it as it is now. Attached a couple of screenshots to show you what I am trying to do. Edited January 21, 2009 by crazyeddie
