Reservoirdog Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Can someone please help me. This worked before but doesn't now. I recently bought a new Tp-MESH decco 6e router. I have a arris router that goes to the Tp-link - then switch. Both my PC's are hardwired in but I could do wireless. The port 10308 is open. I checked on getmysignal. When I go to MP start(create) new server I load a mission. Then I go to my other computer and I can find the server name in the search function and when I type in the iPv4 address to search that way it says server off line. I can not figure out how to get them to connect and see each other. I have two seperate DCS accounts. ED versions, not steam. They both (CPU) have the same public IP addresses. Can anyone help me? Do I need to try and download the dedicated server software. I just want to do it from the game so two of us can play. I have a house full of pilots.

Hi, In general, having two routers on a single home is a source for problems, because the routers divide the networks and so a PC conected to one router may not be able to see a PC that is connected to the other router, even tough both PCs may access the Internet. To have a better picture of your LAN, can you state what local IP have each PC that you want to run DCS on? Should be an IP like 192.168.x.x or 10.0.x.x 1 hour ago, Reservoirdog said: Both my PC's are hardwired in but I could do wireless. The port 10308 is open. I checked on getmysignal. The port 10308 has to be open both for TCP and for UDP communications, on both PCs For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Pikey Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Yes Rudel most likely has it. If you have two networks separated by two different routers they are naturally unaware of each other, Networking isn't plug and play, each router is creating an internal network and its going to require some configuring that goes way beyond a forum post that includes how you configure your wiring, default gateways, subnet masks and DHCP. Luckily there are videos on the topic so you should find what you need. Good luck. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
