How do you put targetting zones in your ABRIS? I am more interested in being able to show Target Reference Points which I assume you can only make by making Targetting Zones, thus I would like them to show up in ABRIS.

Hi Dusty!

They can but you have to create them on the ABRIS using the "prepare mission" mode and then save the data through the ABRIS. Then, if you want other players in a MP session to have the same info on their ABRIS you have to share the respective files(Navigation.lua and additional.lua) from the uncompressed mission zip file.

Note, this is only necessary if you want to actually draw the targeting area. The targeting point itself (the center of the area) is automatically stored under Target Points in the INS (up to 10). These will show up as flashing squares on the ABRIS when you select them on the PVI-800.

Thanks guys. Good answers even if I am not sure what you are saying. Looks like I'll go to looking into it.

Target points are ones you set up in the editor under the targeting button for each helicopter. You can set points for a space on the ground, vehicles, or objects. These will show up on the ABRIS when you select the "NAV TGT" button on the PVI and press a number button corresponding to the target point you want to see. This what EB is refering to.

Target zones, what I thought you were refering to, are user created boxes displayed on the ABRIS. You can draw lines for things like a FLOT or a defined area and label them. As well you can add and name differnet types of refernce points(Nav aids, landmarks, etc) on the map. These are made and saved with the ABRIS as I pointed out above.
