GLD_leader Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Hi everyone, I'll admit i'm more of a mac guy (don't hold it against me) but I recently added a second drive to run DCS on my PC. I moved everything over. But for whatever reason I keep seeing a DCS program file on both my C and D drive. When I load liveries into the folder on the D drive I do not see them. I tried to see if maybe there was some sort of issue and it was pulling files from the C drive while running on the D drive and they just never populate in game. I never ran into the issue until running it on the D drive. Has anyone else run into this issue and how much of an idiot am I here. Be gentle Thanks!
Eugel Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Hey, I have DCS also installed on my D:\ drive. But some files, like your control settings, Mods etc. and also Liveries are saved in your user\***\saved games\DCS folder, which by default Windows puts on the C:\ drive. (not sure if that is what you mean, but that´s totally normal)
BitMaster Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 (edited) I may add, while you just got to know the folders located in your users home folder, usually here: C:\Users\your_name\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta To avoid GFX glitches it is not a bad idea to delete the FXO and METASHEDER 2 folders after every update. It will take a bit longer to start DCS 1st time again since it needs to recompile shaders and do it's things but it may safe you from errors. It's a good habit to do so, just to be safe.
