X-Raptor Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 (edited) Hi all, as I've read all here who use BS with Cougar, x52 and so on , but I have a old MSFF2 microsoft and would like to know: 1- Please explain what are the defaut input assigment I'll find in it compared to keyboard ones? 2- Do I have to change (re-map) some control for a easier use even with using macros or it'better to "leave at is"?If I need to change will I have trouble of re.mapping (i've read is a bit difficult to change default assignment) Hope no :).. 3- can someone clarify me if motor-rotors are all both mapped into the only one slide at the side of joystick? or I have to change something in option controls panel of game? Thank you in advance also for any further advice (even basically ones yup!) that anyone can tell me about use of MSFF2 with this great Heli-sim, and sorry if this has been yet discussed here but I'm really a geat novice - Edited January 25, 2009 by X-Raptor
crazysundog Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 HaH!! as it turns out, that is the best ForceFeedback stick to use with this sim, I myself am desperately looking for one second hand!! You are lucky to own it. I'm sorry i cant help clarify your questions, but I'm eager to read any answers others can offer. p.s. Welcome to the forums!! enjoy your time here!
Weta43 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Don't forget to "swap axis" in the FFB tune dialogue box Cheers.
X-Raptor Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 Thank you weta 43 this I have done, hope to find any answer about its default setting/controls in game now: ANYONE? @CRAZYSUNDOG: Thank you , and look to e-Bay time to time and you'll surely finallly find a good one ;)
RCN_Moose Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 It's definately the best FF joystick out there. Mines starting to show some wear, especially in the POV switch. It's a shame that MS stopped making them. As to setting it up, it's really personnel preference. I use mine with the throttle from a X45. The only issue I have, and this isn't related to BS, is there is no way to adjust the FF on Vista. The native drivers support it, but there is no adjustments (ala the XP software)
Weta43 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 What is it you want to know - what the default key settings are ? Does it matter - they're fully customisable .... Cheers.
miguez Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 A quick scroll down the assignments list in BS will show you what is currently assigned. Then, change as you see fit.
X-Raptor Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 RGR, thank you weta and miguez, I'll try to be more clear: I would like to know about what personal assignment you/folks here using msFF2 are using in the buttons of the joystick like: EXAMPLE: Button1=fire Button2=CannonFire button3=retract gear button4=increaseFoV button5=decreaseFov button7=centerViev ......................... and so on... please if anyone who is playing with this stick (msff29 can give/post its personal assignlemt made after quite time of playing this simulator, thank you all
Weta43 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I'll post a list when I get home, but pick what you think most needed, and change if you need to after trying it out.... Cheers.
crazysundog Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Thank you weta 43 this I have done, hope to find any answer about its default setting/controls in game now: ANYONE? @CRAZYSUNDOG: Thank you , and look to e-Bay time to time and you'll surely finallly find a good one ;) uhhhgg, just lost a bid to get one this morning. :disgust: My max bid was at $50, the winner took it for $51. Probably somebody from in here....:ranting:
RCN_Moose Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 $51...wow. The last time I looked on Ebay for them they were going for well over $100. Mind you that was over a year ago. Was it new in box or someones castoff?
