  1. Bump, this would be a great feature, and it seems pretty doable (famous last words) seeing what else is out there. Pretty please ED, with sugar on top.
  2. Those performance charts for the Ka-50 are being created by Leading Edge Training and will be available as part of the performance lesson ;).
  3. Hi Conure, Plenty to read around here on trim, pour yourself some hot tea or beverage of choice and read on, but yes, the trim and the autopilot (AP) are not only connected, but the trim is but a feature of the AP. Keep in mind that when we say autopilot we mean a damping system, something to make the helicopter easier to fly. This is unlike the AP on a typical airplane. The trim is just a reference of pitch, or bank, or heading, or any combination of that (you turn them on or off individually) that the helicopter will try and maintain via this AP. So if I bank some and hit the trim, the bank at the moment I release the trim button is the new bank reference, and the helicopter will try to maintain that. Same for pitch and heading. Notice I said try to maintain it. That's because the AP channels only have a little bit of authority, so if a control input outside of that authority is required to maintain the trim you chose, she simply won't. That's it in a nutshell.
  4. Great discussion guys. To add a bit more. Here in the US there are even special "COPTER" approach plates, to be used during IFR, and only by helicopters. They come in all flavors, ILSs, LOCs, NDBs, RNAVs. Check out this ILS and LOC into Washington's Ronald Reagan.
  5. Welcome back Conuk! How was it, was it just like the pictures promised? We are having to integrate a brand new shopping cart, a job that takes a whole lot more work than expected, and move the website in the process, something that is taking us much longer than expected. The good news is we are learning a lot, so if we ever have to do it again, it'll be much easier. Once that's all said and done we will release FSBT-02.
  6. Hey Dragon, Thanks for the explanation, maybe we should schedule a session to make sure we have enough players for each slot, that should be a lot of fun! Also, I would like to submit to you the idea of someday creating a mission that has many slots in many different roles and that requires everyone to perform well otherwise it is not winable. Of course this type of mission would not be the average type you see on servers all the time, as it would require both items I mentioned in my previous message, which are group planning and communications, but I think for a squadron or a group of friends it would be incredibly satisfying to complete and win such a mission! Best regards,
  7. Cool, a new one, can't wait Dragon! I have a question for you and everyone else. In combined missions such as Bigfoot and this last one, where DCS: BS and FC work together, are these missions doable/winable if not all slots are filled? Also, even if all slots are filled, is the team required to act as a unified unit in order to win? What I am after is a mission that would only work if all team members did their jobs and collaborated, one that would require a high degree of coordination over the radio, and I was then wondering if these missions were of this sort, since if anyone could make them, in my mind, Dragon would be the one.
  8. Hey, interesting, has anyone used TsSimComms? It seems like an interesting program. I think a plugin for BS itself, to use the R-828L for changing TS channel, would be the best solution, though.
  9. I've been wondering this too, I have it cranked up at 1000% and still have all my windshields around me...:)
  10. Hey Pixel, I for one think this would be a great mod, especially with the intercompatibility between DCS: BS and FC 2. You could speak to your flight on one frequency, fast movers on another, and even other flights on a third frequency. Let me know if you need any help testing this.
  11. Hi guys, A couple of people that downloaded the LET paint scheme have had the rotor mast and wheels disappear (show transparent). I don't have that issue on my machine, can anyone point us towards an answer on how to fix it? Thanks!
