SantasGolfClub Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 I am building a mission where a menu items spawns a mission. A couple of infantry appear on the map. They're set t Late Activation, and when the menu item is selected - I activate the group. Great. I land, "pick them up", and deactivate the group once they're in the heli to simulate, they're no longer standing there. I complete the mission, and now want to re-spawn the same mission. But when I "Group Activate" the guy - nothing happens. It seems 'Deactivate' = DESTROY FOREVER! How can I achieve what I am trying to do. I want to show and hide as many times as I want. Unfortunately, currently the only way to respawn deactivated/dead units, is by scripting. (Never cared or willing to spend time to learn scripting in DCS myself, but I'm sure someone else here can help you with that) 1 System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
cfrag Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 As @sirrah already kindly commented, this fairly fundamental requirement can't be achieved without resorting to scripts. The good news is that there are many solutions readily available, and if you don't want to script yourself and are happy to merely stick building blocks together like some Lego, DML can probably easily deliver what you are looking for. I've included the standard 'Helo Trooper' demo from DML (which works by using trigger zones to pass information to the modules) which does what I believe you are looking for. If it interests you, be sure to read the 'Helo Trooper' chapter in the DML documentation to get a better understanding of how it works. Other libraries can also provide what you are looking for, so you have many options to choose from. demo - helo trooper.miz 1
