I've been dropping laser guided bombs. Here's a modified F-15e script which has the preset comms in option1, but changes to time-to-release/impact/target until you go back to Nav mode etc.

Id it possible to have steerpoint on there also somewhere?

Best would be option 1 because that button for me where the option1 is, is my pb10

Yeah the 2 scratchpadnumber digits could probably be that eg '2A'. I'll move the mastermode and snares about to suit.

Actually @Lekaa might be tricky- there's no consistent display of the steerpoint on a gauge, and it won't be on the HUD, UFC or MFD at all times so it's probabyl going to disappear at awkward moments. Will see if its easy to get it to look at both HUDS, UFC, 7xMFDs and if it appears on any then display.

Ok here ya go. Steerpoints on the far left, which should work as long as one (1) of your five pilot displays is showing current info. I was hoping single players could just leave a wiso screen active but of course its current-view only.

Neat use of the buttons but seemed like a waste of digits to use an option slot??

Flares and chaff both represented in com1, master mode in comm2.

Good spotting - try this out and let me know how it works. There's probably still a conflict about which seat gets to display, but as long as you don't leave numbers hanging when switching I think its ok - that's most likely to happen if you have the previous radio channel switched in.

I will try it but its mostly when doing multicrew that i find it nice to be able to see the scratchpad, like putting the laser code without turning my head toward the ufc on the screen and just see the numbers on my Winwing ufc

Hi @prestonflying,

 

strangly my UFC addon does not work. It worked some weeks ago after i initially installed it, but due to unknown reasons, it stopped working. I downloaded the latest release from the first page yesterday. I reinstalled it after simapppro upgrade to version 1.9.8. Using openbeta. my dcs.log does not show anything with "wwt". Do you have any idea what could be the problem?

@Kurothas hey there! Let’s first just try to get your dcs exports working, then we can re install the UFC edited files. 
 

1. Can you confirm your Saved Games/DCS_Folder/Scripts/Export.lua includes the wwt lines? You can run “repair lua” in SimApp Pro -> setting to repopulate those. Perhaps the upgrade removed the old entries. 

2. Start up DCS after confirming your Export.lua has the lines.  Do you see any errors in your dcs.log file?

Could someone maybe get more info from the A10 instead of just static information?

Like maybe Steerpoint info, What weapons mod currently using or which weapon are selected, scratchpad or anything but static, it's a wish if someone feels like doing something 🙂

These profiles for the F15E is working perfectly, maybe add those 2 next time your pushing a new update


What they did in the last update is getting the WSO UFC scratchpad working

Good to hear - once the patch comes through with the mark points fixed I might try and add them too.

I know its just a nice-to-have during early access but I really really really wish that exports were on that list.

I know it might be a limitation but when have steerpoint B, or str 1.A, it does not show that because of the limited space it have in the scratchpad.

 

I was wishing first to have it on the upper option displays and then have the radio where the radio default's for the hornet. And have chaff and flare on the last option display at the bottom. Thats my preferens

@Lekaa I was going to just send you a quick and dirty version to use but then realised that the * and also the GV really messes things up for Comms. I'll have another play when the update comes through. The Options should be able to display S2A or S2-A etc.

@prestonflying Fast as always 🙂 I saw the hornet can do letters of a sort on the scratchpad e.g. ERROR. Is there any way we can get in on that, even if the awkward letters (W,M,X,V etc) need some really ugly approximations, like this?

@Wostg I had a similar idea when starting this, turns out SimApp Pro is our interface to the USB UFC scratch pad, thus we send data to SimApp Pro, then SimApp Pro sends data to the UFC. SimApp Pro does not support letters, thus nothing would show.

  I have another forum post that shows how to bypass SimApp Pro and directly write data to the UFC. This approach would be required to get full control over the segmented displays, and would require a re-work of how this UFC Patch program works. In pseudo code; we would make a new program that reads export dcs data, then writes to the UFC directly, skipping SimApp Pro altogether. I do not think it is worth the work, but is always possible!

Hi @prestonflying,

i installed the latest version of SimAppPro (1.9.9), repaired the .lua file and installed again the Universal UFC AddOn.

Everything works again. But of course my TacView Export does not work anymore since those lines has been deleted. So one problem solved, another one appeared ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Any issues with TacView known?

@Kurothas SimApp Pro will make a fresh Export.lua and also makes a backup file, look for Export_Backup_xyz and you can grab the old tac view lua entry and add it back into Exports.lua

Here is the lua entry for TacView assuming you had TacView installed and working which should make it work again

@prestonflying Hey, not urgent but tidied up the ka50 a bit, no changes to functions but put the crash prevention in etcufcPatchKA50.lua

@Lekaa That's weird. As per the DCS Exports thread the whole UFC is kaput. Ok looking now.

So much for practising my refueling, any excuse lol

Ok found the change, the UFC used to be device '8' now its '7' probably all the othes mfds etc changed as well. On it...

STOP THE PRESSES SCREEN EXPORTS ARE FUNCTIONAL.

This rules. Especially recommend the 

F-15E MPCDs and Grayscale FLIR v1.4 mod
