VA/VIACOM PRO with DCS OpenBeta

Hello,

Guys, I cannot figure this out. I cannot get VoiceAttack to work with the latest DCS OpenBeta after the last update. Been trying to resolve this for days now, and I cannot figure it out. The only thing I did was to update OpenBeta.

What’s happening?

The menus keep popping on and off every five seconds. Something that’s always solved it, which was the Lua code Reset, no longer works. It also recognizes voice commands, as it does beep, but DCS does not recognizes the commands. With the Tomcat, it displays “AIRIO commands are not available” with the Tomcat Loaded. 

What have I done?

1. I have performed the Lua code MASTER ZERO reset multiple times. Yes closing VA after, launching BOTH applications, closing BOTH of them again without starting any missions, and closing them again. Nothing. It does the same thing. 

2. I’ve ran the repair of DCS, both the long and short version, and performing step 1 above. Nothing. 

3. I have reset custom DCS path with and without “fix Reg” checked. Nothing. 

4. I have copied files generated by clicking “EXPORT” in the bottom of the Config page within VIACOM PRO, to the appropriate directory. Nothing. 

Selecting Release or OpenBeta in the Options section has no affect. Need help please. I’m unable to fly the Tomcat module as I rely on this to work with the RIO. 

Again. Works good in the Release version of DCS. VA version is v1.10.3, and 2.8.1.1 of VIACOM PRO. Hope I can get some help. I’ve checked just about any other part of the forums with similar issues, but with older versions. Oh, Windows 11. Thanks guys.

I suggest the following: (1) Make sure you have the latest Community Release of VAICOM installed. (2) shut down VA and DCS, then run a repair of DCS. (3) Delete (or rename) export.lua in your Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\scripts directory. (4) Restart VA. (5) Go into VAICOM settings and make sure debugging is on. (6) Shut down VA and restart it. Then shut it down again. (7) Verify that VAICOM created a new file Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\scripts\export.lua. (8) Post your VA and VAICOM logs here.

To add to what @sthompson wrote.
ALWAYS shutdown VoiceAttack BEFORE you update DCS, or VAICOM will have issues with updating/reverting files in the DCS core. Because that's what it does when you start/shutdown VoiceAttack.
And also strive to always start VoiceAttack before you start DCS.

Guys, thanks for the help. Sorry for the late reply. Solved it by deleting the Export.lua. Also had some help in Discord. Thanks so much for taking the time. I appreciate it. Take care.

As much as i loved vaicom and voice attack I ended up uninstalling both and just reinstalled voice attack.  I would get 3 or 4 good missions then something would get corrupted and start hanging up me loading into multiplayer. If a repair didnt fix it i had to have dcs make a new saved games folder Before this last dcs patch I had 0 issues. I fly the 18 in vr

Did you shutdown VoiceAttack before you updated DCS. And did you start VoiceAttack BEFORE you started DCS?
