For my server I have a pilot rescue system in which downed pilots can be picked up and returned to base for either points or, if an enemy, intel. Currently, the downed pilot objects only exist during the current session and after restart they are all deleted. I'm thinking about placing one of the LSO's from the carrier down after restart to take the place of the downed pilot object. But it would be better to use the actual pilot model.

Is it possible currently? I'm guessing that object might not be something we dynamically have access to.

If not, can I request the pilot model be added as a static object please?

I created and maintain Operation Candyland, a DCS Open Beta server. Since 2019, Operation Candyland has been one of the best persistent campaigns running on DCS. Featuring ALL modern US and Russian Air, Ground, and Sea forces dynamically controlled by a standalone AI controller. At any given time, there are over 500 units on the map without any lag or desync due to the standalone nature of the system. Experience one of the best multiday campaign experiences in DCS either solo or with a group of other pilots. Both new and veteran DCS pilots will find Operation Candyland a refreshing challenge where no two campaigns are ever the same. Challenge yourself by reaching the top of a custom scoreboard which grades you based on your sortie performance and experience a custom F10 fog of war system which reveals units based on your coalition's current level of command and control. Rescue downed friendly pilots or captured downed enemy pilots in order to extract valuable intel to progress the mission. Learn more at: https://discord.gg/operation-candyland

Thank you for sending that ... I assume on a server everyone would need to be running this mod? I currently don't use any external code/mods other than SRS so I'd rather not use a mod. Seems like there is no way to just reference the pilot model otherwise though 😞

With DCS, mods are life. If you wait for ED to do it, your kids might get it. 😉 Or maybe theirs...

There has got to be a pilot in DCS somewhere because when you eject and land and stand up you can go to F2 view and see yourself. Sometimes the downed pilot will stay on the ground and when the CS

AR lands you can WASD yourself onto the bird. SO there's a model for it.

Of course there is - you just can't get access to it or use it.

Hence, mods.
