USAF-Falcon87 Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 OK, a friend with a G2 was trying to get to where he was using OpenXR instead of SteamVR. We created the shortcut, but it still kept bringing up SteamVR (can't tell if it was actually running in OpenXR or Steam, but closing SteamVR killed the game). Any ideas? We DID check to make sure it is two dashes (not an EM dash) in the --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR part. He has the OpenXR toolkit, so OpenXR is definitely on his system. I'm stumped--any ideas? Thanks, Ric
zildac Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 And you’ve added the cmdline options to the DCS.EXE not the Updater shortcut? 14900KS | Maximus Hero Z690 | ASUS 4090 TUF OC | 64GB DDR5 6600 | DCS on 2TB NVMe | WarBRD+Warthog Stick | CM3 | TM TPR's | Varjo Aero
Rainer_B. Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 No Problem here. I uninstalled SteamVR because i play only DCS. My Session ended a few minutes ago. Crash into WMR before the Hind could start the Load World.
Bader242 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 I had a similar issue. Launching the game as a VR session with the Skate Zilla 'DCS Updater/Launcher' fixed it for me.
Rosly Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 @USAF-Falcon87If you have the Steam version, DCS will be restarted with command lines given by Steam while getting the license. In order to modify the parameters for Steam version of the game, you need to modify the params in Steam itself. This can be done for each title you have in Steam. BTW if the game exists when you close SteamVR, it means it used SteamVR. You can also check if StreamVR overlay can be called by controller menu button. null
