Hello,

I have seen threads pertaining to problems with the multiplayer settings yet these do not seem to illicit many replies much less a solution. The problem my buddy and I have encountered happens when flying coop missions via the LAN setup in our apartment. The trouble is that the multiplayer settings are inconsistent with the gameplay settings either of us have selected in the options menu.

To test this, for example, we both selected immortal in the options menu and also selected "use these settings for every mission." A coop mission was then created and within the mission options menu, a check was placed to enforce immortal and a check was also placed in the "value" box. When I hosted the server, I was immortal and he was not. However, when he hosted the server on his system, he was now immortal and I was not. This happens regardless of whether "use these settings for every mission" is checked or unchecked as well as if a particular setting is enforced in the mission options or not. We have tried numerous combinations of settings for both the main options and individual mission options and nothing has changed.

I run Black Shark on Vista Home 32bit and he uses Vista Ultimate 64bit. On both systems the game is installed in the root folder c: and both installations were "run as administrator" with UAC turned off. I did notice, however, that Vista 64bit will not allow my roommate to select "run as administrator" for DCS.exe. Not sure if this could be the culprit?

Any advice regarding this irritating inability to control multiplayer settings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

If the button you are talking about is the same as going into "customize" on the toolbar and then selecting "mission options", I have tried every combination dealing with enforcing settings and checking the value boxes. Do you suppose it could have something to do with a host config file or administrative rights?

My fault for not clarifying. Sorry

Yes, before saving my missions, while still within the mission editor, I usually select customize on the toolbar across the top and then enforce the mission options from there. I did use the actual button you had mentioned and it took me to the same menu and showed all of the same options enforced previously via the toolbar approach. Correct me if I am wrong but I assumed there was not a difference between the two methods because they both take me to the same menu.

Thanks for your help Graywo1f.

I'm thinking that it has something to do with our LAN connection because I don't seem to be hearing a lot about anybody else having this problem. Well, if you think of anything else please let me know. This is really turning out to be quite a frustrating issue. Thanks again
