New Computer.. New problems..

I just got a new computer. Re installing VA has been a huge pain so far. I have 2 problems at the moment. The first one is that VA will launch itself automatically. if I shut it down.. it restarts... weird.

The second problem is that .. although the commands are recognized in the VA window. DCS doesn't do any of them. I can hear the tone for VA.. but again.. ingame.. nothing..

 

Any ideas???

Reinstall of Voice Atack fixed the start up thingy.. still won’t acknowledge the DCS commands. It will perform a custom command.. like. “ Canopy” and the canopy closes. But I can’t talk to the crew chief and such.

Try going to the Vaicom Pro Preference tab and make sure "Extended Command Set" is selected. This fixed the issue I was having with the Ground Crew ignoring my commands.

Can you post your VAICOM settings and show us the VoiceAttack log?
It's also a little unclear when you write "VA". Do you mean VoiceAttack or VAICOM?

Btw. Does the module show up in VAICOM control panel?
You could potentially have issues with your export.lua

Sorry.. yes VA(Voice Attack). I’m not home at the moment. But I’m hearing deleting the export lua might offer some solutions to DCS not recognizing Voice Attack commands.

Don't delete it. Rename it for backup.
Which version of VAICOM do you have? It will create a new export.lua, with only VAICOM settings though.

The Viacom version was downloaded yesterday.. Version 2.8.1.1

deleting it and letting it rebuild it didn't work anyway. It understands my custom commands to open the canopy or using the flashlight. But with the DCS commands I only hear the audio beep.. but that's all it does.

 

I thought it was a key binding problem, but Im not convinced anymore because it understands my custom commands (the few that I actually made).

VAICOM does not send keybinds, so don't confuse it with ordinary VA commands.
When you bring up the VAICOM control panel, does it show the correct module?
Can you post your VA log and VAICOM settings?
We'll sort this, I'm positive it's a simple fix.

Hi, yes please!
And I understand I was unclear. I meant the log in the VoiceAttack log window. Just screen grab it, that's fine. You might want to turn on debugging in the VAICOM control panel first.

Thank you for your help. I uninstalled the programs and reinstalled them again last night. Unfortunately by the time I got around to the install it was too late to test it. I’m doing real world flying for a couple days now. I’ll report back when I get back home.

Log file shows that the mission and module are being recognized. So the problem is something else. Looks like it could be an issue with radio tuning since there is a message about no tuned units available. It would help to know your VAICOM PRO settings, which frequencies were tuned in cockpit, and whether you can contact ATC using the menu system. Also do you have easy comms on or not.

UPDATE:

Uninstalled and reinstalled last night. Test run before work. Worked as supposed to!

Just asked the crew chief for ground power..

Looking forward to a test flight when I get back home.
