rapid Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 (edited) Need help getting my Saitek rudders to work in game. I have the latest drivers and software - not the beta drivers and im running vista 32bit. I try and set the rudders in BS config rudders x and y i think their called but the rudders wont connect on screen in BS. any ideas? also my Saitek 52 pro seems to make the Bs fly upwards so i need to push the joystick forward and cant seem to get the trim to work i have set a key for it but it does nothing. hannibal Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 about trim...once you get in to a position of flight, just tap on the trim button and.. LET GO of the joystick, so that the trim can take effect,..u will see the aircraft adjust...once the helicopter is steady again, regain control of the joystick... if your in excessive pitch positions, it will take long for the helicopter to adjust 1 find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179

neverminded Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Hi mates, i have exactly the same problem. How did you solve that? I got the saitek rudders and now my Shark spins around as if my little nephew would fly it  Thanks.
Baldy Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 just an idea, have you mapped the rudder controls in axis section or on the 2 buttons for rudders?
neverminded Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Thanks for you reply. First i forgot to say, I use SST. That means I deleted all categories in BS except the keyboard. My Joystick rudder does not work anymore (which is ok) but my rudder is mixing collective pitch and roll in. I tried to map the keys for rudder to the sst rudder profile but had no luck.
neverminded Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 (edited) I reinstalled all drivers (did a clean uninstall of all Saitek stuff), but still not working. At least i got my Trackir 4 Pro today, yay, that rocks  Edit: Installed the SST software also. But it stays the same, it does not work. So it must have something to do with BS. I didn't find any way to get axis to work in BS options, I only can use Buttons. What's wrong? Edited April 7, 2009 by neverminded
neverminded Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Good evening gents, tried all I could find, but have no luck. Reinstalled drivers, BS and SST, configured other profiles in SST, tried without profile. It won't do :( Is it normal, that I can't select axis and slider in BS? All I can select are a few hundred buttons and pov. I really need help!
crazysundog Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 (edited) DO NOT delete all categories in BS but the keyboard... I used the BlackShark ingame options to map the rudder axis to the pedals, make sure no other axis or buttons are mapped to the pedals... You can use both the SST and InGame to map your HOTAS and Pedals... Use in game for all axis, and SST for all buttons and macro's if you want. or you could use the Ingame for everything if you want. ...see picture in next reply! Edited April 8, 2009 by crazysundog

When I use the drop down box (it wont recognize any inputs) I have Joybtns but no axis.
neverminded Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 A picture is worth a thousand words...here: Ehm, sorry. Thanks a lot, I've been there already, but was too confused. Thanks again!
crazysundog Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 (edited) Whoops sorry bad advice!! Dont listen to me, Im on painkillers...I will try to make this as clear as possible! Edited April 8, 2009 by crazysundog 1
crazysundog Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Answer me this question: Does the game recognize that you have a Saitek Rudder active? And also: Can you select the Axis Commands from the drop-down list? And: Does your option screen look like my option screen in the picture?
neverminded Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 The game recognizes the Saitek Rudder. Yes, in Axis Commands I can choose Axis from the drop-down list. My option screen looks like your option screen. I've been flying a bit now, it's like day and night :) Love flying the Shark. Btw, i didn't listen to you, when you were on painkillers :)
