plaiskool Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 (edited) Hi gents, i would like to know if there is a way to have the possibility to set all the weather preset to "0ft" so i can fine tune where i'm gonna be able to see the ground when approaching during ILS GCA or else. I saw that all overcast are stuck to a minimum of 1300ft and i would like to have for exemple 150FT or even less to have a very dirty OVC like in real life and not necessary fog Thank you Edited March 11, 2023 by plaiskool 3
Ironhand Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 If you simply want to practice, you can do what you're looking to do on the right map. Nevada, for instance, because of the higher elevations involved. I tried Groom Lake with Overcast 6, 1300 meters. That worked pretty well. Use a lower base and It'll be right down to the ground, though there might be clearer holes here and there depending on cloud structure. You can also use the old clouds for a more uniform effect, if you prefer. There's something odd going on with the cloud bases because, once in the sim, you either have the cloud bases far enough above the ground not to suit your needs or right down to the ground on airfields with runways below 900 meters altitude with nothing in between.
