llama Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 (edited) Hey all, I am catching hell trying to turn in mountains but can't figure out why. I have looked thru the manual looking for flight tips to no avail =( I can use full rudder while in a hover, try to use tthe rotors and tilt to turn but for some reason the helo will only turn to the right (flight direction does not seem to matter). I have even turned off all of the AP settings and still no luck. Any advice? :joystick: P.S.- in the campaign missions it states "review the altitude-velocity envelope limitations before take off". What are they talking about and where can I find that info? Rhino4 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 You might have your pedals trimmed too much to the right. Might try resetting trim...As for your other question: Helicopters cannot hover above a certain altitude. In order to fly higher they must move forward to increase wind over the rotor disk and gain more lift. Altitude-velocity envelope limitations is just a fancy way of saying how fast you have to go at a given altitude to avoid falling out of the sky like a rock. As for where to find it...Perhaps the left-rear side of the cockpit on the door has more info on that yellowish plate? I haven't really read it but I think that's where the info is...
