NWS not functional

Hello all,  I'm having a new prob with NWS.

I have the f16 and 18 and neither of these are capable of steering on the ground.  That is, NWS and NSW HI displays but the aircraft does not steer at all.

I have tried rather a lot of things found here and on the "web", but to no avail.

The control commands are not double-bound, I've repaired the install etc.

I am really at a loss.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you see that NWS is being displayed but you cannot steer then you need to check your rudder assignements, either keys or axis.

In case of the F-18 with NWS HI, make sure you don't fully deflect the NWS while taxiing, otherwise you will overcome the friction of the tire and just push it while it's fully deflected.

I should add that before it stopped working at all, if I was in the high gain regime in the F-18, the NW would lock into position and I would taxi in a circle on the deck.

This happened for approximately 3 "loads" then regressed to nil function at all.

I did nothing, changed nothing.

I know one of you clever trousers out there can help me.

what should I be looking for?  I look at them and they "seem" ok.

Best bet probably is to record a short track and post it here. So devs can analyze the track and see what buttons are pressed and the like.

It seems that the Rudder allocation of my Extreme 3d pro does not, suddenly, recognise the rudder inputs.  So Razo+r, you were of course  right.

Added to this is the fact that the keyboard element of the Control Options seems to have disappeared.  All sorts of funky stuff going down.

I fear that I smell a delete and a reinstall coming.

Go to the saved games directory and rename the DCS folder to anything you want and restart DCS. This will reset everything, settings and controls. See if that fixes the weird stuff going on.
