gonvise Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 This campaign has made me return the illusion of playing campaigns... I am tired of - Very long missions, which as a father and worker it is not possible for me to assume (DCS, a save point would be great); - Endless dialogues during the long flight to the combat zone that I don't need to hear - Unsuitable targets for mission and weaponry availbale (yes! let's go for that sam with dumb bombs!) - Second unexpected objectives when I have already finished the primaries and have no weapons .. And this campaign has none of that, although it's not for that reason that they stop being difficult and well-argued missions... old fashioned missions! Please, fix as soon as possible the mission of the helos... and allow labels if you really want to do it "player friendly" 4
Looking Glass Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Thanks. Labels implemented. Mission 5 - helos getting lots of love and other mission improvements. Will notify when released. 1
hhhttt Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 It’s very easy to enable label by modify the zip file of each mission. just open miz file as zip file, open the text file in it, find label config, change it. Save and update the zip file 2
splash Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I agree with all the comments. This campaign is great. 2
Steel Jaw Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Hows VR performance ? 1 "You see, IronHand is my thing" My specs: W10 Pro, I5/11600K o/c to 4800 @1.32v, 64 GB 3200 XML RAM, Red Dragon 7800XT/16GB.
nephilimborn Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Thank you Looking Glass for publishing this campaign. IMHO this finds a great balance between immersion and insulation from DCS game breaking releases. I am only 3 missions but having a blast playing. I have played through all F/A-18 campaigns (excepting Rising Squall which i cannot stand) and this is sofar the most fun i have had; this easily compares with Rise of the Persion Lion. I look forward to playing the remainder of the missions as well as any future content. Also many thanks for tirelessly responding to the sim-gamer feedback in these forums; i play in VR so the labels make all the difference during AGM. 2 i7-13700KF; RTX-4090; 64GB RAM; Quest3 & PimaxCL; Virpil CM3 + VKB Gunfighter Mk.IV MCE-Ultimate + VKB T-Rudder Mk.V

Sofar the campaign seems to find a good balance; Incirlik air base (esp with many mission-active airframes) and the Syria map however will always be a drain on perf regardless. My rig is a 4090+13thgen I7, 32gb ram, openXR Quest2(asw off, 120hz forced 60fps 1.7x render resolution, max dcs settings); if i turn off the mirrors i can just get frame times that result in 55 to 60 fps (as long as its not raining that is) 2 i7-13700KF; RTX-4090; 64GB RAM; Quest3 & PimaxCL; Virpil CM3 + VKB Gunfighter Mk.IV MCE-Ultimate + VKB T-Rudder Mk.V

We never knew how users would find it until a few months after release so cheers! We work hard on our campaigns and also responding to users feedback, trying to make campaign player friendly to as many as we can. Yeah, VR does finds its match performance-wise on busy airbases like Incirlik, with statics and units moving around and fancy weather/atmospheric settings too. Frame-wise, we are about the same, we can maintain 45-55 fps (4090 system) on busy airbase (Incirlik). Have seen the performance actually improve despite ALL of the new features and settings for DCS added since start of production of campaign (clouds, weather, new lighting) Overall happy performance wise, really only the odd slower jitter on base/taxi legs now and then. Thanks again 1
nephilimborn Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 The B1-B in Mission 4 is a nice touch! Make sure to call-in & watch the carpet-bombing run on the helo airbase. 1 i7-13700KF; RTX-4090; 64GB RAM; Quest3 & PimaxCL; Virpil CM3 + VKB Gunfighter Mk.IV MCE-Ultimate + VKB T-Rudder Mk.V
