Recently reinstalled DCS following crash.  I have controls set so that the pinkie button acts as a modifier.  Now comes the problem .... I have radar on/off set to a button on throttle, and ECM on/off set to same button with pinkie button modifier.

So I press Throttle button to turn on radar, and at some stage hit modifier plus throttle button to turn on ECM.  But that's not what happens ..... what happens is that radar turns off.  Its as though system is not recognising modifier button.  So I fly a bit more and manage to turn on ECM using modifier plus throttle button.  Then I go to turn off ECM using same combo and instead, radar turns off.   Its as though modifier button is randomly working, and is remaining active after first use even if I'm not pressing the modifier.

Had exactly the same problem with trigger.  With my original setup, cannon fires with trigger pull, and missiles release with trigger pull plus modifier.  Try it in the air and no matter what I do, I cant fire missiles ..... only cannon works.

Anyone ever had or seen something similar to this?

I have the Warthog HOTAS. My throttle pinky button almost never works, never has. Everything else works fine so I just don't use the pinky button, doesn't bother me. Have you tried running your HOTAS buttons on default mapping? If the buttons work on default for the A10C you're flying than its not the HOTAS, its your button map.

Have you installed all of the TM Warthog drivers? You probably have but we need to start somewhere.

Like mine, it works good enough to not call it broken but bad enough to not assign it to anything critical.

You can check if a press & hold is also recognized as such.

Use Sedenions 128 dx script, use the Tempo function (short/long) presses. Now do you have S3 set to Toggle... or not toggled for your shift function. One way you have to hold it, the other way you don't. But you are probably not using TARGET are you? If not you are only getting 50% of your HOTAS' potential.... if that.
