Hi all,

I'm going to buy BS but I need some information:

1) I'm not sure about the activation: I read of 8 activations and 10 deactivation but also read of illimited installation on the same machine. Does this maens that the activations refer to different machines?

2) Is it possible in simulation mode to disable the land crash?

3) I read of good comment with trackir, but with hotas nad without track ir the comment even good?

Thanks for answers

Hi Goteb, welcome :)

1) If you were to re-install on the same machine exactly, then no activations or deactivations are required. The activations are for if you significantly upgrade your computer, or buy a whole new computer, you would then de-activate the license on your old computer, and activate it on the new.

2) you can toggle "immortal" while in simulator mode, yes...I'm not sure this prevents systematic damage though (ie a blown tyre on landing etc..)

3) I think a lot of people fly without TrackIR and with a HOTAS. If you have never used trackIR , then this is still the best sim you have ever flown hands down....but with TrackIR, it is not only the best sim you have ever played, but also the most immersive game you have ever played (IMHO) ... TrackIR is not necessary at all, but it is certainly desirable :)

On item number one, I believe it also gives you a code on deactivation that you should use for reactivation. However, I have not tried that myself since I wanted to keep it on the older laptop when I bought my new machine.

BTW, which TrackIR kit is the better option?

when starting out, you actually want to crash and use the RCVR ption when ending the mission. It will put you right back on the runway for another takeoff. Otherwise you will need to reload the mission to fly again. On some systems that can take a long time. I avoided the RCVR because I thought it was gamey, but oh the amount of time it would have saved me while learning...

TIR 3 and 4 have the vector 6 DOF option.
