How do I know what catapult I'm supposed to shoot from?

I'm playing Reflected's "Fear The Bones" campaign and am struggling a lot to figure out which CAT is best to shoot from in each mission. Any info on how I find out? Also, how do I find out the ship's BRC without having to press f10 and clicking on the ship's symbol?

Can’t answer first part. But BRC is given when you make initial call to the ship on approach, unless you meant for takeoff, then I don’t know what to tell you

Usually its best to go to Cat 1 (the furthest right), otherwise the AI wing man will just line up right behind you on Cat 2 rather than go to the free Cat 1.  As it is, the AI is still kinda buggy, and even if you launch from Cat 1, your wingman might not move into position on Cat 2 until you actually launch.

I seem to remember there's a kneeboard that has ship information, not one of reflected's mission kneeboards, but an F14 one. Somewhere near the trapsheets etc. Whether it includes info about BRC I do not know
