Since I consider a bunch of you smarter than me, help me out here, in DCS; what will be the pitfalls vs benefits of this new VR headset coming out Q3 2023.

I'm a ReverbG2 user, so I'd likely us the thing with the audio head strap.

Also with G2, I'm very used to Windows Mixed Reality and the ease of use that comes with that (I could be wrong about ease of use, but it's all I've ever known thanks to the HP being the great value it is/was)

So lets hear it from the VR hivemind here!

For me.

Pros:  OLED screens, good panel resolution 2560x2560, very small form factor means comfort and portability, potential best image quality in contrasty and dark scenes.

Cons:  lowish FOV, fixed IPD/face plate only fits your face and no one else hence not good for resale, controller/lighthouse tracking costs extra, 1st HMD from a software/freeware company so support/repair service is unknown, lack of modern features such dynamic eye-tracking, etc. that would yield extra fps (this is proven to be a great feature in Varjo Aero and PSVR2).

PC: 5800X3D/4090, 11700K/3090, 9900K/2080Ti.

Joystick bases: TMW, VPC WarBRD, MT50CM2, VKB GFII, FSSB R3L

Joystick grips: TM (Warthog, F/A-18C), Realsimulator (F-16SGRH, F-18CGRH), VKB (Kosmosima LH, MCG, MCG Pro), VPC MongoosT50-CM2

Throttles: TMW, Winwing Super Taurus, Logitech Throttle Quadrant, Realsimulator Throttle (soon)

VR: HTC Vive/Pro, Oculus Rift/Quest 2, Valve Index, Varjo Aero, https://forum.dcs.world/topic/300065-varjo-aero-general-guide-for-new-owners/
