Hip Hind Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 The last update said that the S-8 weights had been clarified. Okay. Now flew to the range, gave a salvo S-8OFP with 3.5 km at the data from table 140, so there was a double overflight. Flew away in 7-8 kilometers. I set the 122 for 3 km gave a volley of 3.5 km flew to the same place where the first. Before this specification, all the data from the tables were correct and when setting the PKV 140 with a volley from 3.5 km the track clearly covered the target area. If the characteristics are refined, what tables should we use now?
Solution Marsvinet Posted May 31, 2023 Solution Posted May 31, 2023 (edited) What I recall, and @AeriaGloria can verify, is that the OFP2 is newer and weighs more, but also has a more potent engine to balance out the added weight. Before the last update, the simulated OFP2 did not have that extra powerful engine and therefore had quite crappy ballistics, which lead to different range tables. Now it should behave closer to the KOM, but will still differ, so use the KOM tables, but you might have to dial it in to fit the OFP2 ballistics better. Edited May 31, 2023 by Marsvinet

Yes, basically it’s faster and flatter trajectory than even KOM now. So OFP2 tables no longer work and adjusting KOM tables for less depression or making your own tables with active pause is your best bet Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com

The distance to the target is 3500 m, height - 100 m, speed - 200. Before the update, according to the tables, the value of the sight for this data was 140 with a small pitch-up for marking the target and a good result over the entire area of the target. After updating, the sight value will be 80. Edited May 31, 2023 by Hip Hind
