mR.Waffles Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I lost the install disk for my Force Feedback Pro 2 and I'm trying to get it to work. I can't find a driver for it ANYWHERE, let alone one that works with vista. How did you guys get Force Feedback to work on Vista?
ACUTech Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Generic Vista drivers will work just fine, got a MSFF2 plugged on my 2nd pc as we speak, works just like you'd expect it to. The only downside is that you don't actually have the sidewinder software to program special functions like modifiers... =ACU=Tech TECH Systemes Computer 1 Computer 2 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mR.Waffles Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 The Force Feedback didn't work on mine. I used a file found here to enable FFB in Vista, not sure if it works in game yet: http://www.saitek.com/uk/supp/forcefeedback.htm
mR.Waffles Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 I got the recentering to work at least but no force feedback effects.
-sulan- Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I got the recentering to work at least but no force feedback effects. I don't think there are any other effects other than centering, and that the trim position changes (I have the same stick running in XP, also without drivers)
mR.Waffles Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 Now my centering just stopped working when I booted up Black Shark, ugh.
MatGreGor Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 No FFB effects on BS, only spring centering forces. Look at this thread:http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36266 Greets.
mR.Waffles Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 I can't even get the springer to work.
Amuro Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Lack of programming isn't an issue as there is 3rd party software that allows you to do so. The biggest issue is that there's no way to adjust the force feedback strength. I tried my FF2 with Falcon 4 Aliied Force, and the force feedback effects were way too strong. mR.Waffles Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 I think I'm just gonna pick up at X52 at Circuit City right before their final hours.
