max22 Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 First flight and the F-15E is pitching up a lot after takeoff. I have set trim controls and they work. Question is, can I trim the plane on the ground before takeoff ? Yaw pitch and roll are on.
VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 I watch the pre-release videos that pitching up so much during takeoff is normal. I would consult the manual. Zeus67 Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 If you start with the aircraft hot on the ramp or on the runway, it will be trimmed for take-off. That's SOP. You will have to trim it down once you are in the air. If you read the manual, you will see that there is a take-off trim button that needs to be pressed. If you use autostart, I will be automatically pressed. 1 1 "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. Despayre Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 Yup, right in front of the throttles... hold down until the light turns green and you get a solid tone. Take-off trim is now set. I'm not updating this anymore. It's safe to assume I have all the stuff, and the stuff for the stuff too.
