Enabling AVX2 re-introduces moderate stuttering in VR.

Having enabled AVX2 yesterday to stop constant CTD's i have just tried VR for first time and there is moderate stuttering now where there was none before.  No changes to working VR settings from before, will test with other aircraft and post results/findings.

I seem to recall that disabling AVX2 a while back had helped eradicate massive stuttering i was experiencing in VR about 2-3 months ago.

I wonder if this is going to be a trade-off type situation?  Hopefully not.

Maybe changing a few VR graphic settings will fix it.

Update:

Lowering Clouds setting from Ultra to Standard pretty much eradicated 95% of stuttering.  Also lowering the volume of clouds in a mission also had a very positive effect.

Are you overclocking? Monitoring temperature? AVX instructions can really increase temps and you could be seeing thermal throttling by the CPU.

is the AVX2 a setting in DCS Options? I know it is a cpu instruction set but to enalbe and disable it?
