Digger_1 Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 A very basic question - with so many peripherals now - winwing etc - is there anyway to rule them and in the darkness bind them - I have multiple usb hubs connected through a single cable to the PC - with some peripherals coming on with power from usb and/or from hub - I would like to switch them all off when not using without having to unplug the USB cable.
No1sonuk Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 If they're all powered hubs, plug the power supplies into one multi-way extension and turn that on and off as required. 1
Vinc_Vega Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 How about switchable USB hubs? Just google it, they even are available without a power supply line. Regards, Vinc 1 Regards, Vinc real life: Royal Bavarian Airforce online: VJS-GermanKnights.de [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Scott-S6 Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 (edited) My hubs have a power switch on the side. If you don't have that then maybe try these? Some powered hubs will deactivate themselves when you turn off the power supply. The cheaper ones will continue working as an unpowered hub. Not only does that not solve OP's problem, if he has powered hubs because his devices draw more power than the port can supply then he's going to get erratic behaviour at best.
