Komet_82 Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 Hi all At the moment I'm stuck in Mission 6. Although I love the chanel crossing with the great clowdy weather and it is amazingly emersive as all Reflected missions. But now I just had to bellyland my Spit near Cherbourg for the 3rd time in a row. Flew Beware Beware and the previous Missions with very little scratches and quite some kills, but here over Cherbourg it seems hell for me. Even when I try to fly very defensive and be very careful, LWF 0001 and 0002 they always make swiss cheese out of my engine within the first minutes of the battle. I guess this is now how emersive as it can get. But does anyone have an advice for me how I can make this Mission with gettin back to the island? Thanks and greetsings from the POW Markus
Reflected Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 Interesting, the AI Spits always make short work of those 190s when I play it. recently the AI can’t see a thing, so maybe they weren’t listening to your engage command? Did you tell them to engage? Both yoir flight and the rest of the formation? Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Komet_82 Posted July 3, 2023 Author Posted July 3, 2023 yes, as soon as I see the bandits behind Cherbourg I give the two commands and drop the external tank. And I saw that the react on this and swarm out, then I start turning wild to make sure I have nothing on my 6 but then immediately from nowhere a 190 (always LWF 0001 & 0002 or how they are coded) gives my engine a deadly strafing shot. When I have time will try again tonight. One day I will make it out of there haha. But as always very great missions, love it
Reflected Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 Glad to hear they engage at least Yeah, jsut turn, turn, make sure your 6 is clear. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Komet_82 Posted July 3, 2023 Author Posted July 3, 2023 What a ride, I finally made back home from Cherbourg on the 4th try haha. But how emersive this one was again, just great. Went into the battle a bit more defensive than the first three attempts, but nevertheles there were some pretty dangerous passes of the 190's, but I took one down and when it was time to leave I was almost the last witht another friend of my flight, but we were both out of ammo and had a very hard time to shake of on of the remaining 190's, could only get rid of him climbing up into the clouds....and so did we and landed at needs ore point arifield with 3-4 gallons left...... Thanks for that entertaining evening with this great campaign, can't wait for the next mission Cheers 2
