Not Seeing MIDS/Link 16 symbology

After spending years flying the Blackhawk, F16, and A10c, I've started to learn the F/A-18.  I'm at the point where I'm ready to try a new DCS Liberation campaign with the F/A-18.  On the first couple of missions I've flown as wingman in a 2 ship in an AA escort role from the carrier (using Supercarrier).  During cold start I am turning on the data link, but during flight I'm not seeing any Link 16 symbology on the HSI, the radar, or the SA.  I can't find much info on the DCS F/A-18 MIDS MFD display in the official docs, and in DCS Liberation I can't find any info on MIDS radio frequencies or group IDs or anything like that, and so it seems like I should just be able to hit the D/L button and then the on/off button, and it should work like ti does in the F-16. Am I missing something?  Thanks.

The little trick with the F-18 is the fact that ACLS (automatic carrier landing system) got added.  The first press of the D/L button brings up the ACLS controls and parameters.  You need to press it 2X (should have AIC at the top of the UFC options) then turn it on to activate the D/L function.  What you've been doing is just turning on the ACLS.  It's likely not updated in most documentation yet.

I had same issue once in F18 but it wasn't the fault of not turning on the DL. It was the HMD alignment problem. For some reason the DL contacts showed up both on the SA page and in the HMD after the alignment process.
