CHPL
UH-1 "APPROPRIATION" FOILED German Museum Schleissheim Airfield /Bavaria /Germany At the last second, the borrowing of a Bell UH-1 by an international group of helicopter maniacs could have been prevented in the aviation museum Oberschleissheim. After the barrier was already overcome, the group had to find out, however, that the machine was secured in an unusual way by a lock. The fuel and battery issues were also unresolved and the museum staff could only be persuaded to cooperate to the extent that they took a group photo. . All three suspects from Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Franconia could be assigned to the BLACK ANGELS and wanted to borrow the Bell for the TIGERMEET 2023 in Bruck in the Oberpfalz. At least their play instinct could be indulged and the group spent some time in the simulator of the museum. On Saturday, August 26, all three suspects then took part in the meeting. Even though we don't fly much with the Jet guys, the event and the fellowship were a great success, and with 6 participants, the Black Angels were one of, if not the most represented squadron. Special thanks, as we are particularly proud of this, to our European participants from the UK and the Netherlands, who represented us brilliantly. 3 Always happy landings ;)
