mvsgas Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Yes, there three knobs in front of the cyclic (or the stick) the knob to the left is the one for the NVG... Are you talking adjusting brightness? To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
MTFDarkEagle Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 (edited) Do you have a TrackIR set? If you dont have one it might be difficult to adjust them since they (the adjustment buttons) are directely behind the cyclic. The only thing you can do then is adjust it on the ground, pushing the cyclic away, and then taking off. But that way you cant adjust it on the move. lucky-hendrix Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 you can move the view around without Track-IR alt + PN keys will just do fine.
MTFDarkEagle Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 you can move the view around without Track-IR alt + PN keys will just do fine. true... But its not really handy when in a combat situation e.g. Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
ZoomBoy27 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 If the Mission starts at night, the NVG are already on. Bring it down like the HMS by hitting (H) If it's dusk or dawn and you are on the the ground, you can order them through the Ground Crew options - Much like the HMS(Helmet-Mounted System They appear in the Comms Menu (BackSlash - \ ) under F10 Maintenance | F3 Change Helmet-Mounted Device | F2 Setup NVG Make sure you have your door open - RightCTRL-C You can turn on and off the cockpit lighting (RightSHIFT-K) or adjust cockpit lighting brightness by using the lighting brightness control panel at the bottom of the Rear auxiliary panel on the Right Rear "ПРИБОРЫ" Blue cockpit lighting brightness for night operations. Rotating this knob allows you to adjust the brightness level of the blue cockpit lighting. Increase [K + LCTRL + LALT] and decrease [K + LSHIFT + LCTRL]. Cockpit lighting for labels Page 278 You may further wish to adjust the brightness of the NVGs to maximize cockpit clarity. Night vision brightness adjustment is done with the “ЯРКОСТЬ ОДСВЕТА” (Brightness instruments) knob on the lower part of the control panel. I also fiddle with the ABRIS brightness button on the lower left of the ABRIS I hold Numlock_0 and fiddle with my mouse on top of the button. You should get an OK ABRIS map ZoomBoy My Flight Sims Page - Link to My Blog - Sims and Things - DCS Stuff++ - Up-to-Speed Guides to the old Lockon A10A and Su-25T - Some missions [needs update]
