JesterIsDead Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 After updated to v57 on my Occulus app, my DCS VR experience is taken a turn for the worse. Flickering at 90hz where it didn't before. Anyone else experience this? I7-10700F | RTX4070 FE | 32G RAM | Quest 2/3 | TM T16000 HOTAS & Throttle | F/A-18C | F-14A/B | F-15C | A-10 II | F-4E
dutchili Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 I noticed this as well at high altitude. MSAA seemed to cause it before but it got worse with v57. I cannot go back to v56 as the headset won't connect via usb in that version. Forced to use the beta now. Does not seem to be a DCS issue.
JesterIsDead Posted September 9, 2023 Author Posted September 9, 2023 I went to 120hz and things look pretty good! It's like Meta is forcing us to use 120hz now. Not sure how it's running smooth for me but it is! I7-10700F | RTX4070 FE | 32G RAM | Quest 2/3 | TM T16000 HOTAS & Throttle | F/A-18C | F-14A/B | F-15C | A-10 II | F-4E
Tomcat388th Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 I had this happen once before had to do a repair of the oculus software and had to do it on this latest oculus update. I was getting a hesitation about every 30seconds looked like the headset was losing track just enough to make the image twitch. Go to meta's website and select the software download for your headset. when you run it there will be the option to repair. Spetz Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Thanks! Was wondering what was going on.. managed to get the twitch/screen tearing down to a minimum after the update, but will try 120Hz and a repair too.
