How do I hold released weapon view?

At about 2:35 in this video, while following the maverick missile (F6), the player is able to freeze the camera's position and pan around, rather than following it all the way to target - at which point it eventually resets.

Does anyone know how to freeze the weapon view camera at a chosen point in time like this?

Once you get to where you want to hold focus, Lctrl f11 iirc

In case anyone else was interested, the option is labelled "Jump to free camera".

Pro-tip, you can look at any area in F10 map (top down) and then use this free cam view to look at that area. Use the mouse and WASD keys to fly around.
