YES, the rx6700xt runs VR comfortably with a good balance of performance and eye candy.

My PC Specs:

  • Ryzen 5 3600x
  • XFX Radeon RX6700xt
  • 32GB DDR4 @3600mhz
  • SSD storage
  • Oculus Quest 2

I am still tweaking the settings a little bit, but it's running great even now.

Tweaks I made

  • Changing ingame settings (duh)
  • Bumping up resolution in quest 2
  • Using OpenXR toolkit
  • Using reshade

I have benchmarked on, the Caucasus map with 30 players on the TTI server. Game was running stable at 72 fps in the sky and 40fps on the ground. No major stuttering.

I'll post the detailed settings and tweaks if there is any demand.

Cheers!

Since I'm struggling a lot with my Quest 2 with a RTX2060 I would really love to see more of your settings. My processor is the newer 5600G and I have 16GB more RAM then you have and DCS runs off of it's own SSD. I do not expect the same level of FPS as you do since the 6700XT is a faster graphics card but I'm hardly getting 10 FPS right now.

Could you share a screenshot with your graphics settings?

Thanks in advance for any help.

here are some screen shots of my quest 2 settings with link cable I also use the oculus debug tool to tweak some settings along with openxr tool kit for CAS sharpening and adjusting the color settings for a better looking DCS terrain.

I'm running almost identical system except my CPU is 5500, I'm getting a lot of ghosting/smearing in my Quest2 especially since 2.9 update came out. Have you seen that happen? Also what are our OXR settings?

Hi, I don't get any of that, I use virtual desktop and have just disabled openXR toolkit and it has yielded great results actually. Game runs kind of stuttery on the ground but once in the air runs great
