Im not sure if im doing something wrong but i flied f18 quite a lot and when i use agm65f its rng of locking or not sometimes it does sometimes not. I realized that it very easily locked some tiny boats (without ship mode turned on) with just uncage and then slewing cursor to them and then stopping slewing then it instantly locked them i could kill two in single run and then i wanted to destroy some ground targets and there problem begins i tried slewing them many times i couldnt kill a single vehicle when i tried slewing them and stopped maverick kept moving for like 2 seconds and couldnt at all achieve lock whst wss the closest way to actually destoying vehicle was via looking just at hud and arrow and trying get good shoot with just uncaging basically without locking. I tried really many times but it cant lock target it looks like cursor is in somethint similiar for boresight mode for 2 seconds cuz it keeps moving and then ur not even avaible to shoot whats weird it can mostly  lock everything around even grass (while slewing i mean it instantly locks when i stop holding tdc depress) when slewing it but not the vehicle i had the right contrast selected for it to lock also definiteky in range it was mostly between 2 and 5 miles i wasnt using targeting pod. After some time researchint some other guy had kinda similiar problem but he was using targeting pod

The AGM-65F lock depends on optic contrast between target and background.

We require a track of what you're doing to either verify a possible bug or identify what you may be doing wrong.

as i said before it was contrast was right target was very bright green and i had contrast track on bright green (targeting cursor was green not black) and as i said before for some reason i was able to lock boats and even terrain but not the targets later i will send some photos and eventually video if avaible to this topic maybe im doing something wrong but it looks more likely probably game bug since i wasnt alone with similiar problem

You should post a track if you believe there's an issue with the IR Mavs.  Just an observation from a guy that just flew two missions with 65F's with his MP squad mates:  @Lord Vader is absolutely correct.  You need optical contrast so the Maverick can "see" the target.  If there's not enough contrast between hot/cold, the Mav will be "blind" to your target. 

FWIW, we had zero issues with IR Mavericks "seeing" and shooting targets during our missions once we understood how the Maverick worked.  A track, will help the community help you figure this out.  While a video might show us if there are tips for us to provide, it isn't what ED needs to determine if there's a bug.

i played just a while ago on other server it worked all perfect as should but i will later play on previous server and if it happens again i will record it for now it worked perfectly for me

well i played today and it happend again now i think what it is , when im locking targets such as trucks tanks vehicle sams it locks perfectly but when it comes to deployed sa2 rocket sites or even for some reason truck between them it never locks keeps drifting and caging somewhere else except that even thought their figure it very light hreen bright i tried even on black track mode to make sure two modes fail and both couldnt lock them i dont know if agm65f are onlt for ships and vehicles specifically bot mostly rhwy should lock targets that generate heat they can even lock jets and its weird they cant lock some giant rocket on the ground aswell i think theres another reason i couldnt even lock on vehicles i thibk reason behind that (and it happend when i posted this) are dead vehicles close to the target
