I don't know much about simplified avionics mode but:

One usually doesn't slew the ABRIS. I mean it has the Marker/ERBL cursors which can be used to move a map cursor around for some rather boring purposes. To move the map cursor (once activated) it's all in the right-hand ABRIS knob. Turning it controls left/right or up/down. You switch between left/right movement and up/down movement by pressing in the knob.

However I feel you may be asking about slewing the Shkval which has an indicator of where the system thinks the endpoint of the Shkval sight is on the ABRIS map. One slews this indication simply by slewing the Shkval sight around and the ABRIS map display will keep up.

Yea. That's what I meant the Shkval. Gotcha so you can put that on an object and then it will keep it there it sounds like. Thanks. I'll try.

In real life / simulation mode the Shkval is slewed via a hat switch on the cyclic. The target designate button on the collective will prompt a laser rangefinder range to be taken which then will "ground stabilize" where the Shkval is pointing.

If the Shkval is pointing in ground-stabilized mode and the point of interest is inside the view limits of the Shkval, then yes the aiming point will stay where it is in 3 dimensions.
